What is the sun? An important source of life on earth. Without the Sun’s heat and light, the Earth would be a lifeless ball of ice-coated rock. It is the point from where all processes to sustain life start. The sun warms our seas, stirs our atmosphere, generates our weather patterns, and gives energy to the growing green plants that provide the food and oxygen for life on Earth.
The sun, like all stars, is able to create energy because it is essentially a massive fusion reaction. This process releases an incredible amount of energy in the form of light and heat which reach the Earth and provide the energy to sustain life.
