As the great author Mark Twain once remarked “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Kindness is all about being friendly and considerate towards others.
Being kind and empathetic provides solace to the receiver and is therefore an essential quality for those who care for the sick and infirm.
Christie Watson’s stories about her experience as a nurse inside different wards of the hospital, leaves one spellbound at the horrors of illness; the levels to which we are all dependent, at some time or the other of our lives, on the compassion and care of nurses.
A must read for those who have stopped believing in human compassion!
